West Is Best scores for Lanigan & Mullins
he is a horse who always promised a bit and was placed in point to points and is from the family of Glebe Lad and we bred him ourselves. We'll try and find another race similar to that one next. Hugh Laing, a friend of mine for over 40 years, owns him and is a great supporter of mine.
Days impresses on chase debut
I'm delighted with the way he jumped. He was a good jumper of hurdles and took to it (fences) today,. I only started schooling him over fences two weeks ago but he really took to it straightaway. Ground doesn't seem to bother him either way.
Silver strikes again for Dullea
I'm delighted for (owners) David and Margaret Kiely and Conor gets a great tune out of him. I think he won well in the end considering the conditions and the trip,. Conor is adamant that he is capable of going back over hurdles so maybe we could look down that route. I thought after he won at Tramore that a plan could be to eventually run in a Cork National and after looking at that, if he keeps progressing it mightn't be out of the question as a longterm plan from a low weight. He needs to progress more but he saw that out well.
