Plan comes together for Gibney with Young Paddymc
That's great. That was the plan for a while. It's nice that it's worked out,. He ran better than I expected last time. Today was the race we really had in mind. Having gone so well the last day I thought we'd be hard to beat today with a bit of luck in running. Chasing was always going to be his game as he's a big scopey horse. Who knows where he'll go now, I'm a dreamer!. There is a bit of significance in his name as his joint-owner Finian Reilly's nephew Paddy died of cancer a couple of year ago. We had bought the horse before he died and he had been out to see him and he was named after him. The family always come to see him and there is a bit of sentimental value to this fella.
Escape impresses despite market drift
I wasn't expecting him to beat the favourite carrying that weight but he did it very well,. The bit of rain actually helped as he needs a bit of ease in the ground. He has a couple of entries for Leopardstown and we'll see how he comes out of the race. Mark gave him a great ride. He took his time, they went a good gallop so they came back to him. I'm delighted as I wasn't expecting to beat the favourite giving him a stone, that's a lot of weight and the second horse is a good horse. They pulled away from the rest as well. He's a good horse I think.
Secret makes all under Browne for Hanlon
Se Mo Laoch the hero again
He's a super horse. He's running every couple of weeks and is so consistent. He keeps your name up there,. All credit to Eoin, he's given him an unbelievable ride. He's maturing as a rider. He took his time when they got racing a bit early and he came home strongest of all then. I'm delighted for him and it's great for the yard. We have only a couple racing, really, and to have a horse so consistent like him makes it easy. I was looking at the National Trial back here and 118 got in last year. He won off 115 today so he just might get into that. I'd say that sort of trip will suit him. Everything is a bonus now. It's great and I can't say enough about him.
Felix gets back on track in the Moscow Flyer
He disappointed us a few times but we were dropping him in early on and I'd say it was the wrong way to ride him,. He likes striding along and jumps well. I thought it was a nice performance and Sean said he galloped the whole way to the line and didn't stop so we're happy. I'd say the key to him is letting him stride along. He doesn't have to make the running, it's not essential, but he seems to be able to gallop them into the ground. He jumped very well. Keith (Donoghue) said the last day he was kind of backing off the easyfix hurdles and didn't jump great. He was very slick there today so we're happy. That looks his trip. He was only beaten six or seven lengths in the bumper (at Cheltenham) last year and he's a nice horse. He disappointed a bit early on over hurdles but touch wood he's back on track now. He's obviously in at the Dublin Racing Festival and we'll have a look and see what happens there. He'll probably go there and I'd imagine the Supreme Novice is where he'll go now.
Elliott doubles-up with 'very smart' Vision
He's a nice horse. We think a lot of him, we think he's a very smart horse,. In Leopardstown he didn't do anything wrong, only got beat. He was just green and jumped big. It might have been a blessing in disguise that he got beat that day. Jack came in and said he was still green today and said he's going to come on a lot from the run today. He's a horse that does everything very easy at home so he'll be okay hopefully. He'll probably go to Leopardstown now for something and he's a horse that could step out in trip as well, he's not just a two-miler, because he's so relaxed and has a great attitude.
Enright guides Robin to all the way win
She probably needed the run in Limerick the last day,. Mark gave her a brilliant ride and I'm delighted. We made the running with her in Limerick and she just got tired after the last hurdle. It was Mark's idea to bounce her out and make the running. She's very free and we were dropping her right in and having her last all the other runs. She was very free, would come past a few horses and latch on. She'd be gone past horses in two strides so we just said we'd jump her out and see how she goes. It worked anyway. We'll look for something similar. She actually won before (at Wexford last July) but lost the race over me being stupid and giving her a worm dose when I shouldn't have.
