Patience pays off as Lucky Phil makes the breakthrough
She deserved that. She was very unlucky in Listowel and again got hampered in the beginners chase at Sligo,. Her wind was catching her prior to that. She’s had it done three times and seems to be finishing out her races better now after getting it done the third time. Before Listowel she was cutting out in the last 100 yards. She has loads of pace and ran a cracker in a Flat maiden at Sligo. Next year she could run on the Flat and over hurdles and fences.
"The show back on the road" for Rocket Lad
It was good to get the show back on the road after the fall last time. We’ve always had huge faith in him and we’ll kick start a novice hurdle campaign and see where we can get to. It was plenty soft enough when he won his bumper at Galway so I can’t see winter conditions being any problem for him. He was declared for the bumper at Tipperary tomorrow just in case something went awry. I haven’t really looked at where we’ll go but off the top of my head he could go for a three-mile Graded novice at Cork.

Meade pays tribute to "fabulous horse" Falcon after Champion Chase win
He’s very good when he’s fresh. The ground was too quick for him in Ascot and we let him out and I didn’t think there was any possibility he could be ready for this,. But Emma (Connolly) who rides him out and loves him more than anyone kept saying he’s there. We worked him over a mile on Tuesday and he worked brilliant, so we said we’d have to go ahead and run him. You would imagine the obvious place to go with him now is Down Royal as it’s the big chase and his owner is from Belfast and I’d say would love him to run there. He’s had a few little issues here and there. Last year when he won in the north he cracked a bone behind and that’s why we didn’t see him for the rest of the season. He’s been some servant and is a fabulous horse for us to have.

"Job done" for Dallas in lively finale at Gowran
Jack said when he was on his own in front he was looking around him. At Cheltenham he cantered till he got to the front and then pulled up when he got there. He’s a horse that would be better with a lead, and we knew that when Eddie Harty’s horse (Advantage Point) fell it was a disaster.
