Mr Jack Savage, the rider of the winner, Locker Room Talk (IRE), was suspended for 6 days, on dates to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for using his whip above the permitted from after the final fence without sufficient time to respond.
Being a 7lb claimer, Mr Savage was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Following the race, Tom Lacey's representative reported that Johnbb (IRE), placed sixth, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Soft, Good to Soft in Places on this occasion, and would prefer a quicker surface.
The Veterinary Officer reported that American Tom (FR), placed fifth, lost its left fore shoe.
