A query was raised to consider why Adrian Nicholls was running Bear Me In Mind (IRE) here at Newmarket on going described as Heavy, having declared the filly a non-runner also at Newmarket on 21 October 2020 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that due to the season coming to an end there were limited options available so was therefore happy for Bear Me In Mind (IRE) to take its chance today.
Following the race, Adrian Nicholls reported that Bear Me In Mind (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Heavy on this occasion and would prefer a faster surface.
