'No regrets' as retiring Swan wins with Trader
it's sad but it's great he's (Rogue Trader) won as we've always thought a lot of him. I have no regrets and I've enjoyed it. It's not an easy game and with the way things are if you don't have the numbers it's not really viable. I'll probably have two more runners, Drumlee on Thursday and a filly on the Flat at Dundalk on Friday.
Cheltenham bound Zabana wins at Navan
I was a little scared of the ground but the two miles didn't worry me and it was a good performance; he's a good horse. It was a competitive race and they went a good gallop and he showed his staying power. He was third in the Pertemps qualifier and will probably go to Cheltenham as the owner (Chris Jones) wants to go; whether he handles the track there is a question.
Fox subs for injured Carberry with Meade win
Paul (Carberry) is very sore; he says he has a broken rib and there is nothing he can do with it. He said it seems to be popping in and out which doesn't sound good.
Oscar Sam lands gamble to win for Dempseys
he's tough out and had a nice run last year in Thurles but has had a few issues. He has his own way of jumping and when he ran at Wexford (last April) the ground was too quick and he wasn't able to jump quick enough. He is back sound and loves that ground and his half-brother Billy To Jack also won here.
Apache takes his Gilt-edged opportunity
he hated the ground but he's a winner now. He's a good ground horse and wants three miles and will be better on better ground. He'll get an entry for the RSA (Chase at Cheltenham) and we'll have a look. Soft ground is okay but he really wants good.
Multiple 'points' winner lands h'cap chase
Illuminati takes control in bumper shock
he was diagnosed with stomach ulcers and has a terrible time with them and he's probably still not quite right. He's very workman-like at home and the true test suited him and he stuck at it well. He's not really a bumper horse and will probably go jumping now.
