Illuminati takes control in bumper shock Brian Hamilton's Illuminati caused a 20/1 upset to win the concluding Trim (Pro/Am) Bumper at Navan today, winning under the trainer's regular jockey Declan Lavery. Formerly professional Lavery, who was based with Champion Trainer Willie Mullins two seasons ago, kept Illuminati going in the closing stages for a head win over Thatshowhedidit. The win was proving some compensation for the unfortunate final flight fall of Hamilton's Jimmy Two Times, which was leading in a high profile handicap hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas. Following today's win, Hamilton stated "he was diagnosed with stomach ulcers and has a terrible time with them and he's probably still not quite right. "He's very workman-like at home and the true test suited him and he stuck at it well. "He's not really a bumper horse and will probably go jumping now." The 'Illuminati conspiracy' is a conspiracy theory which holds that there is a "global elite" society that is either in control of the world or is seeking to take control of the world.
