Friendless Zalfana takes the Curragh opener
I thought she did it nicely and I expected her to run very well. She's a lovely staying filly in the making. She'll probably have one more run in the Staffordstown Stud Stakes in mid-October here. I think she'll be a very progressive filly. The one thing that would stop her running would be soft ground as she has a good action. She loved the ground today and I think she'll progress along the right lines.
Smash blows away rivals
I was surprised he won so easily but knew we were coming with a good horse,. We thought if there wasn't a real smart one there we expected to win. Kevin was very impressed. He was kind of a late developer and had a bit of a hold up with a nasal discharge a month ago. I didn't think he'd be back so soon but when it cleared up he indicated he was ready to go. He could go up to a mile and he has a great temperament.
Moviesta comes from last to first under Hayes
I fancied him in Goodwood but it all went pear-shaped. When I got him initially myself and Wayne Lordan, who usually rides him work, were of the strong opinion that he was a six-furlong group horse. When he ran at Ascot there was a change of opinion and we thought he was a five furlong horse. Now I'm inclined to believe he's a six-furlong horse!. He bled in Goodwood and has had a few issues but he's a very good horse. They are nice lads to train (owners Will Salthouse, Harry Redknapp and Ritchie Fiddes) for and I'm delighted to train a winner for Harry. I wish he was managing my team (Man United) at the minute - they might have done a bit better!. We'll try and find a nice race for him now.
Speedster Cheek makes it two from two
She's a little bundle of speed - she's all speed at the moment and five furlongs is her trip. We'll keep the lid on her and switch her off and start again when she comes home. The problems is that over this trip in Ireland there are no races for them. I'll study the programme abroad. We went to Doncaster last year (with Ainippe) but it didn't work out. She's faster than her though. We're after landing a Group 3 and it's fantastic but there were no races after she won her maiden in Naas and she had to come straight into a group race. If you are not that good it's hard but we thought she was that good and she's done it well.
Linehan on the mark again
Three Colours Red follows-up on Sligo win
I thought he was well in but was a bit afraid of the three runs in a week. I was happy enough with him at home though so we had to run as he'll have to run off 66 the next day. He's a tough horse and I genuinely believe he'll make a top-class jumps horse. He's tough and stays and has schooled well over hurdles.
