Cheeky Carberry wins on 'jolly' Bonny
it would be great if they were all that easy! . We had thought about going for the mares' bumper at Punchestown but I felt she was too slow and the decision was made to go hurdling. She's a full-sister to Mala Beach and her real future is over fences. Three miles is what she wants and she'll go chasing next season. She jumped good, as she did the last day but we tried to make the running over two miles at Leopardstown.
Undressed scores for Hourigan/Enright
I think he'll be a fair horse in time even though he's seven already. He's a huge horse and it's only better he's getting. He'll go to either Fairyhouse or Punchestown, more than likely Punchestown, for a winners of one over this trip. The long term plan for next season is the four-miler at Cheltenham. He's schooled over fences even though he's never run in a point-to-point. He'd prefer better ground.
Mine Now follows up with second March win
I think that's David's third ride for me and a third winner. I thought 8lb (rise for his latest win) would stop him but he's improving away. I said after Navan that he'd probably go to Fairyhouse (Festival) and he may still do that; he's been busy enough but will go on better ground. He travels great and jumps great. I got him after he won a point-to-point for Aidan Fitzgerald.
Blair Perrone wins hard held for Ruby
I always thought he'd be a nice horse but he can be a bit hit and miss but he showed his true colours today. The penny is starting to drop with him, and he could make a nice novice chaser next year. Hopefully the ground is safe and he could go to Fairyhouse or Punchestown. He's definitely a winter ground horse.
Ivy Glen wins incident packed chase
once she was out in front she really started to enjoy it. She'd die for you - she's fair honest.
Carr targets La Touche with Fergiethelegend
he'll go for the La Touche at Punchestown; he's schooled over the banks, and has also been out hunting with the Tara Harriers over the winter. He'd a few good runs over hurdles but lost his way. The mix of training lately seems to have helped him.
Martin completes Gowran double
he (Kinnitty Castle) is a lovely horse to go novice hurdling with next season. The lads (owners Aidan Shiels and Niall Reilly) have come over for the weekend (from New York) and it's great for them to have this horse after losing Benefficient.
