Mujaazy just beats Bound in Curragh opener
She stays well, is tough and genuine. She'll probably just run once again, most likely in the Silken Glider, to get a bit of black-type before the year is out. She wants every yard of a mile and will make a lovely mile-and-a-quarter or mile-and-a-half stakes filly next year. The little bit of ease did help.
O'Callaghan runner proves the Boss
We've always thought a lot of this horse. He was a little unlucky in Cork last time but actually learned a lot out of it and benefitted more from getting beaten than winning it,. He only does enough and Colin said he was getting lonely in front. He coaxed him there and didn't get stuck into him. He thinks he's a proper horse and said he would have no problem bouncing out again for the Round Tower next week. Good ground is the key to him. The ground was a bit soft in Cork and he was spinning his wheels a bit. He's full of energy and doesn't do a lot at home. He does everything within himself. I'd say he won pretty snug in the end. He was getting a bit lonely and is still green.
George gets the job done in St Leger Trial
I'm delighted with that - it was lovely. He was just ready to start back so I was a bit worried but he settled lovely and you'd have to be delighted. He'll come back here first and we'll take it a step at a time with him.
Bid provides Bunyan with first Group success
We thought this lad was very good from day one. His first two runs were disappointing but we knew what was wrong, he had a slight wind issue, and we corrected that after the Marble Hill. Everything is ahead of him and we think he'll be a hell of a horse next year. That's as soft as he wants it. For a big horse he likes to flow along on good ground. We thought he was a minimum Group 3 horse and thought it was only right to let everyone know about the wind-op beforehand and know where we are with him. I put him in the Mill Reef at Newbury and anybody who had a look at the entries would have a fair idea what we thought of him. I'm delighted to win our first group race. I had him in the maiden here as well. The original plan was to go for the Round Tower, as I thought he might be a couple of bits of work short, but he did a bit of work the other morning and we were happy with it so decided to come here while the ground was some bit in his favour. We'll see how he comes out of this and the ground will be a big factor. If he comes out of it well he could go for the Round Tower or could wait for the Mill Reef.

Ducky lands a gamble under Whelan
Melanna another for in-form Barrett
The ground was a big factor. I knew she would be very competitive off her mark. I fancied her in Roscommon but she was unlucky in running as she got caught in a pocket. She was second in a decent maiden here last year on that type of ground. Everything fell right for her today. She got a super ride from Josephine who kept things simple.
