Ivan 'the Terrible' enters Triumph picture
he has improved a hell of a lot especially in his jumping, from Leopardstown. The ground wouldn't be what he wants but he certainly improved a lot; when he got the gap before the last he quickened up in a few strides and I thought he was pretty impressive.
World Hurdler runs the Rule over Dunguib
that was good even if I say so myself!. The bottomless ground and making the running wouldn't be ideal but it was a good performance and he'll go straight for the World Hurdle now.
Foxrock books Cheltenham ticket
he jumps and stays and if he stays sound we'll have plenty of fun with him.
Kick On Boss makes all for easy Naas win
he's a big honest horse and he needs a galloping track. I'm delighted for the owners (father and son Mark Travers senior and junior) as he was so big when he was young they were unable to sell him!. I've always thought about chasing for him as he has no respect for his hurdles but we'll probably find a two and a half miles novice hurdle for him next and take it from there.
'Absolute cow' causes another 33/1 upset!
she's an absolute cow! She tried to pull herself up one day with Jamie Codd in a bumper but trotted up in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel and she could do anything!
Dose delivers Doyle's double
he had his conditions today with the track and ground and all he needed was a good gallop. He was never travelling but came alive coming to the last and my horses are in much better form now having struggled before Christmas.
Vic gives Champion Trainer a Naas double
his (Killultagh Vic) run in Navan was good and I'd say they're two good horses (winner and runner-up) today, as I think a bit of mine. I think that is the ground he wants but he was very keen; if they go faster on better ground it would help him to settle better. We'll try for a winners' bumper now; I think he's a chaser in the making but he'll go hurdling next season.
