Third time lucky for Bachasson over fences
I was very pleased with how he handled that ground. I didn't think he could jump as well out of that ground. I thought he was more of a good ground horse, and it was good to see him do that,. He's improving, and that was a real step up on what he'd done before. That could put him in the picture to go across (to Cheltenham) or aim for the Ryanair Chase in Fairyhouse.
Ballycasey grinds out Red Mills success
.I thought he was going nowhere going past the stands, and he seemed to get his second wind going up the back. His jumping kept him in the race, and to win on that ground was good,. Once he found the other horses were not getting away from him then he started to enjoy it again. I wouldn't have thought we will travel with him. I'd say he'll stay at home and find similar races to this.
Killaro collects for Murray
He won his point-to-point first time out on good ground and won over hurdles on soft ground. He stays forever. I'm not sure where he'll go next but great to get that win today,.
Cooper back with a bang on Tombstone
.I felt he'd improved alot from Navan, and we were giving Jezki weight the last day. It was a good performance,. He was going to go chasing but he had a few setbacks. He'll go over fences next year. He could step up to two and a half miles, and the race at Aintree might be a possibility. The plan was to let him roll off the back straight and if he was good enough he was good enough.
Dandy looks smart on Irish debut
.He handled the ground well. I thought he was going nowhere after the third last, and then when Ruby got daylight he put it to bed quick enough. He's not the biggest horse in the world but he's strong,. He's entered in the Triumph Hurdle but I don't know where he will go from here. The way he did that, and better ground and natural improvement who knows what will happen. We will enjoy today. He's owned by new clients and it's nice to start them off with a winner. I think he will be suited by better ground.
Mine Now avoids drama to score
Last year he was just not right although we couldn't find out what was wrong with him. We gave him a break and he's come back better,. I'm delighted for Richie who is well worth his 7lb claim. He won a point-to-point on him and is very strong. He's not big enough to jump a fence so is a bit limited, and will struggle to win off a higher mark.
Rock holds on for poignant win
This means alot and we threw everything we had at the race. My son Conor was great friends with Ronan and he's done most of the work with this horse. He rides her out every day, and the credit should really go to him,. She would have won her first point-to-point at Dromahane only for a bad mistake at the last. She might be going to the sales but if there is a nice winners' race for mares coming we could go for it.
