God strikes again at Tramore

They went very hard early on and it probably suited him the way it turned out,. The ground has improved from yesterday, which is a help, I was pretty concerned when I was here last night. He's probably a bit unlucky not to have won his maiden before now. We might give him another run on the Flat before we got back hurdling with him. He's been busy enough, he'll keep going to the autumn and we'll see how he handles the softer ground then. I think he'll be more of a spring come summer horse and I'd like to have him for the spring.

I thought he would have won earlier in the year and he was second in Limerick one day. He ran a shocker one day in Tipperary and I don't know what happened him. I went to Sligo and it was too fast and then in Ballinrobe it was pure mystery. He had about three stone of lead there though and I think it might have pinched him. I knew this horse had a lot of ability and even here wouldn't be his ideal track. Hopefully he'll go forward from here. We done a bit of schooling with him and he jumps a hurdle really well. He's an autumn horse on a bit of easy ground. He'll make a good hurdle horse down the line and could be a good dual purpose performer.

He did it well. He never makes things easy,. He didn't come down the hill but when he hit the rising ground he did it well in the end. Obviously the last couple of races horses are coming on the outside. He's in again on Monday, we'll have a think about it but probably not. Ronan gave him a brilliant ride and Conor Hoban was a big help as he told him what way the horse works, because he's not an easy ride.

That was great. We were a little bit worried about the ground as it dried out so quickly,. I actually thought coming down here that she'd need a bit more of a dig in it. Her honestly pulled her through and Ben gave her a cracking ride as well. We thought a few of them weren't coming home today so we dropped her in a little bit more as well. She's a lovely honest mare, she's only a small little thing. We'll see what the handicapper does and pick our way through for the rest of the year. She's a soft ground mare. It's nice for a small yard to get a winner like that. It gives us all a lift.
