Griffin wins opener
I wasn't really expecting to collect today, the penny hasn't really dropped with him yet. He is still a bit of a novice in his jumping but he has a good engine and he's a very nice horse. We were worried about the ground and he also pulled off a front shoe. There's plenty of improvement to come in him and we will enter him in the Royal Bond but he will have to have another run in between.
Flood records double
We didn't think he's go on the ground. He has been a good servant to us and any of his bad runs we've had reasons for them. We will keep him over hurdles for the time being but he's likely to go chasing after Christmas. He's entered in sales next week but his owner may have a change of heart now.
Doyle and Motherway team up at Fairyhouse
This mare is tailor-made for chasing and we'd love to get some black type for her but unfortunately she's not EBF quailified. Tom [Doyle] said she loves the soft ground and she jumped like a buck.
Rebel Chief impresses at Fairyhouse
That's my fourth winner and my first ever chase winner. He's a lovely horse and needs loads of room at his fences so he loved it out there being raced on the outside. I'm moving to a new yard near Liscarroll point to point in two weeks time, which will have 28 stables. I have 19 in training at present most of which are all 4 year olds.
Mikey Fogarty records first winner
That was Mikeys [Fogarty] first winner on the track, I hope you'll hear a lot more of him in the future. We think a nice a bit of the horse, we were afraid of the ground and it's a lot to ask of a 4 year old filly. We'll go for a winners of one with her next. She'll have one run this side of Christmas and we'll put her away then.
