An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race following interference inside the final furlong involving Danger Alert (GB), placed second, ridden by Kevin Stott, and Rocking Ends (GB), placed third, ridden by William Carson.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Danger Alert (GB) as the gelding had come from behind Rocking Ends (GB) and was going away, with the distance between the two horses at the line being half a length.
Stott was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to shift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing Rocking Ends (GB) to be moved off its intended line.
