Thunder Rain picks them all off
That was a great result for the horse, having his third run. Colin gave him a super ride. They went quick, and things were happening a bit quick for him early doors, but they came back and he was very genuine. He galloped straight to the line, he's still learning and will improve for it.
Lyons and Keane double up with Elzaam Tales
He had to do it the hard way and he's as green as grass. He has come on from his first run but he didn't really learn much from it and today was nearly like his first outing. He'll come on an awful lot from it. He's a nice horse going forward and his main objective will be the Ballyhane Stakes. We want to support that as he's by Joe Foley's stallion. Hopefully he improves with that race in mind and we'll have fun in between.

Pineapple Express shows off her turn of foot
She's improving, more than I thought, because I thought the handicapper was very hard on her giving her 20lb. She was up in class today and she's done it well. She's going the right way. She has to be ridden like that and he (Andrew Slattery jnr) rides her well. He's got the key to her and I don't give him any instructions as he knows her. That's a nice prize and we aimed her for this race after the last day. We'll have a look again now and see, we'll take our time. We could maybe look at one of those good handicaps in Galway. She likes coming late and gets a turn of foot out of somewhere. She was nearly last turning in there today. They didn't go a great gallop early on but mid-race they quickened it up.
Jockey Cullen continues her good form
He stayed the trip but they gave him every chance on the better ground as they went slow. It turned into a bit of a sprint but Annalise did exactly what I told her. I said 'be in no rush to hit the front'. It was probably my fault that she was a little bit too far back but he's better off coming late as he idles in front. I'm glad he just got up. The handicapper will have to drop him now as he just about won when he was 6lb well in!. The horses are in great form. Miss Myers was a touch unlucky and I would have loved to have a winner for Joe (Keeling). She probably thought she had enough done and pricked her ears. All mine want a bit of juice in the ground so they might be having a bit of a break now looking at the forecast.
