Sir Edwin comes good at 5th attempt
He's genuine and consistent. He was there to pick up the pieces if there was nothing special in it,. He's probably improving and is a grand horse.
Valentana completes hat-trick
She's grand and likes it there. The hustle and bustle here suits her,. She's very relaxed at the minute and enjoying her racing. You'd be worried what the handicapper will do and there was nothing to enter her in this week just in case. We'll see what happens and looks for something similar. Dropping in has been the key to her. She is coming racing and loving racing. She's gone very professional from a filly that worried a bit to enjoying it. She's on a bit of a thrive.
Progressive Tara is Leopardstown bound
I was hoping she would win so she'd get a rating that would get her into the 1m6f handicap at Leopardstown. That was the target,. She's improving the whole time and today's job was to get a few pounds. She won over 1m6f at Leopardstown the first day and Gary thought the ten furlongs was a bit short today. We won't get too greedy, we're happy with the three wins this season, but the plan is Leopardstown. I think she would have won the last day but she never gave herself a chance. Even today over this trip I was a bit worried she was too keen down the back.
Kildare a winner in Roscommon
Falcon soars to victory on return
I was a bit worried, to be honest, that he might not be fit enough and he probably did need it a bit. Sean said he gave a nice blow turning in,. Simenon ran a bit of a downer. If he jumped a little bit better it would be a big help. He misses the odd one and tends to leave his hind legs in them. He's a fair horse, just the same, over that trip. I had intended running him on the Flat but when it looked like this race would cut up I decided to have a go. I think that probably his next run will be on the Flat. There is a Flat maiden at Navan over two miles we could have a cut at. We could also look at Listowel but the 1m6f race might be a bit too short.
No splitting Craig and Oscar
He's a tough little horse and galloped the whole way to the line. JJ gave him a super ride. That's his first win as a pro and I'm delighted to give it to him. He's a very good chap and would give you a hand anytime. I felt he (Lasoscar) was in good form. He got a fair penalty for winning last time. These handicaps are always competitive and there was plenty of money for a few today. He's game and very genuine. I might just up him in class now off a lighter weight and there is a race coming up in Ballinrobe for him. David gave him a lovely ride and arrived there at the right time. I thought we were up and knew we weren't beaten anyway.
10/1 Roscommon double for Meade
I bought him off Mark Dwyer at the Cheltenham breeze-ups,. I should have let him off before he ran at Killarney as he was nearly over the top. He's very quick and has a great pedigree. He'll definitely win on the Flat. I'm not sure whether we'll go for a winners bumper now. I thought he might be a bit short as he's only done one piece of work and is only back in eight weeks on Wednesday. He doesn't want it firm and in Killarney he didn't like it as it was too quick. He's a typical Jeremy. He probably wouldn't want winter ground either as he has too much pace. He's a nice horse and will win plenty of races. He's not very big but he jumps like a rocket.
