It's nice to be back with a Leopardstown horse again. I wouldn't be getting carried away with him but he is probably the best horse I have at the moment.

He has been a bit disappointing over hurdles. He will be entered in the Boylesports Hurdle (formerly the MCR Hurdle) and he might run there before going back for the Grand Annual at Cheltenham in March (finished second in that race last year).

Blackstair takes the feature for Mullins & Townend

We are getting our share of luck today after Sir Des Champs in Limerick (Knockfierna ran out at second last when leading) and with the favourite falling (Bog Warrior) here. This fellow has a lot of gears and Paul was delighted with what he produced after the last. Fences seem to be bringing out the best in him and he will probably come back her for the Arkle before going to Cheltenham in March.

Arklow swoops late to win for Power and Nolan

The break neck pace they went definitely helped him as Robbie said he just stayed on past tired horses up the run in. He has been a great servant and that was his seventh win today. He has also been unlucky and fell at the last with races won on a few occasions.

Edison takes the last for Martin and Power

He is a nice little horse and the ground brought out the best in him today. We are in no rush with him as he is only a 5yo and I think he is quick enough to win on the level.
