Favourite Chase takes the Kilbeggan opener
She will probably run in a handicap now. She has a mark of 101. She will be entered again quickly. She is a top of the ground mare and while the ground stays good she will run. She will go chasing shortly although they are rare at the moment. She is a summer mare and she couldn't have done it any better.
Benedictine completes his hat-trick in style
We have a problem with the wedding now as Hello want the picture rights! . He is a little superstar and he loves his daddy! We will go West (Galway) with him now and we'll enjoy it! . I'm thrilled to bits to win three handicap hurdles on the bounce with him. He is improving. I'm thrilled for my brother (winning owner Joseph Duke) too and for the horse. He'll get a break now. He'll get tomorrow off and then we'll get him ready for Galway.
Hughes & Cooper double up with Hills
He is a nice horse. The ground might have been a bit quick for him today but he did ok. He is a novice for the season and there are plenty of three mile novice hurdle races coming up for him now. He won't run on ground as quick as that again. The plan was to go to Galway but the novice there is over two and a half miles and he wants every inch of three miles.
Kalico wins again twelve months on
She is a nice mare. She lost her way a bit on heavy ground. Good ground is the key to her she can't walk in anything else. They have to go a gallop for her. If she is off the bridle after the first mile she usually runs a blinder. The last day they went too slow and she never got a chance to settle. She might come back here for something or she could go novice chasing.
Another Dazzling performance from Susie
She is a once in a lifetime horse. She is unreal. She hit that fence (fourth last) pretty hard. She'll go home now and into her stable and the first thing she will look for is food! . We will have to have a think where she will go now. I was a bit afraid today as she was a bit wounded up before going out. Tom was over the moon with her. After we schooled her over fences for the first time I said she was exceptional.
Doc wins again for Dorgan & Lavery
He just got the ground that he needed. He was off for a while since his win in Killarney as he had a throat infection. We got it right eventually. We have no plans for him now we will see what to do with him. It was just a lack of fitness with him at the end. He might come back here in a month's time for the big one (the Midlands National).
