Great Scott! Gillian sends out a 50/1 winner
Darragh was cool out, as he said the horse was flat out the whole way. He's not the most genuine but he just got him travelling enthusiastically and his 10lb claim was worth so much. We have a connection with the O'Sullivans as we have known Danny (father of the winning jockey) for years and Mam (Edwina Finn) gave Darragh his first 12.2hh pony to go racing and he won two races on him. He is a really good jockey and I'd say he will go jumping eventually as he is tall. We had a winner at last year's festival with Racing Royalty, who is in tomorrow but the ground will be too fast for him; I'll take this win!

Casanova ends three-year wait at Listowel
I had been placed on him in the Listed race here in 2022 and, whatever it is, he does tend to run well at this time of year. I was a bit worried with 'good' being in the going description but riding on it, I definitely thought it was on the slower side. I was happy to follow Complete Fiction going three-deep on the fresher ground and while I had planned to challenge down the middle, the loose horse ran off the bend and pushed us wider than we'd have liked. I had enough in hand to get the job done though.

Happy hour for McIntyre
Trapalanda lands the odds for Fahey & Ryan
We always knew he was a smart horse and Aaron (son) broke him, when he was a hardy horse. He is always going forward, is a nice horse and is out of a Lope De Vega winning mare and when you get them, they normally have plenty of will to win. . We don't know where we will go next but will be looking at some of the good handicaps next year. Anyone who ever rode him always liked him and I'd say there will be a big day and a good pot in him somewhere.
Sir Allen strikes for the Slatterys
He was a good hurdler last year but then had three-year-old-hurdler 'syndrome' although is back to himself now. He had a good run up north the last day and we took him out twice recently as the ground was too quick but it is lovely here. . Two of his owners travelled down last night from Armagh and are staying tonight so this is great. We might go for a handicap hurdle at Tipperary on Super Sunday next month.
