Hayes horses in "right good form" and Girl springs 25/1 surprise
She was fourth in Naas the other day when the pace was too slow. They went fierce quick there and it suited, played into her hands. If someone claims her best of luck to them. She's a nice filly and she's only going to improve as a three-year-old. We had a fourth in a bumper yesterday and Flirting Lesa won in Galway. They seem to be coming into right good form and hopefully we can keep it rolling.
Theophile gains deserved win
A Sure Cert at 28/1 to keep excellent form of McAteer going
Chance another juvenile winner for Harrington
She just wasn't right after Naas but we knew she was back in good form and this was the run we were meant to see in Naas,. She's another two-year-old winner, which is great. She travelled really well but was green as grass and changed her legs about three times. She was looking this way and that. She likes a bit of nice ground and is a proper six furlong filly. We'll see what there is for her now and she might go up in grade.
Welcome success for Bunyan with Dreams Delivered
We were anxious waiting on this one,. He's a grand horse, very straight-forward, and is owned by a syndicate that has been very lucky for me. There is only one horse, so far, that hasn't won for them. Fairyhouse is always a lucky track for me as well so I suppose it was all lined up for him today. Chris said that he's a horse that is still going to improve. He was rolling around and still green. He goes on any ground bar extremes. We just put the blinkers on to try and knock a little bit of that greenness out of him today. I'm glad we did because even with them he was rolling a bit on the rails. My horses were all sick last year. We've had a fierce amount of placed horses this year, hitting the crossbar regular. Hopefully that changes our luck because they are in good form and running well. The ones that are capable of running well are running well. Like all mine he's there for sale but if he's not sold he's a horse you could see climbing a bit in the handicap before the handicapper has him, hopefully.
Hogan and Sheridan now making a habit of it at Stakes level
A Dandy double for McAteer at Fairyhouse
She's been knocking on the door. She came down in the handicap last year, we couldn't find anything wrong with her and we weren't sure if she had trained on,. When she came back in this year she was much stronger and wanted to get on with her work more. The first day she ran it probably just stretched her a little bit (over seven) and then we probably ran her in handicaps she wasn't supposed to be in, but she ran credibly. This looked the weaker of the two divides today. We'll see how she comes out of it, she's entered for Dundalk on Friday night and we might strike while the iron is hot.
Too Hard To Hold off the mark in Ireland
He was a nice horse to get, plenty of speed, but it was just a matter of getting him to do things properly as he was a bit free in his early days,. It took us a while to settle him down and for him to go through a race properly. You'll see today that he did things right and got the result. Hopefully he can kick on from this and maybe win another little race.
