Ortiga makes all under Carroll for Lynam
It's taken a while to get her act together, and it's nice to get the win.
Ground Vitally Important to Oliver 5yo
Fran gave him a great ride. He's a big horse and showed a lot of promise on his first start. He didn't build on that in his two runs this year but we put a lot of that down to the ground. Even though he's by Pivotal, he likes a bit of better ground and it was just about ideal today (officially good to yielding). We'll see what the handicapper does with him.
Argentero shows his class at Naas
There is a horrendous headwind, it's very hard and it was a good brave performance. He's got a great attitude and a great temperament. He's still not got the ground he wants as he wants good ground. I wasn't disappointed the last day as I knew how much Jim Bolger thought of his horse (Round Two). We probably have the second best colt in Ireland, so we'll let him go to Ascot and we'll go for the Railway Stakes. The plan has always been to come here and then go for the Railway Stakes. I would like to commend Naas for putting on a day like this which is a great help in preparing horses for Ascot. They deserve full credit and it's just a pity that the weather has let them down.
Great result for Middleham as Page bolts in
Foster lands gamble with her only flat horse
She's so tough and so small. She's hardy and tough. She doesn't mind any ground. Wayne knows her now. She's slow to get into her races but finishes really well. She's my one and only flat horse.
