It's great to get him back on track, it was disappointing that he hit the deck the last twice but that spin over hurdles has got his confidence back and we'll go to Punchestown next for The Kerrygold Champion Chase.

Clarke seen to good effect

He's a lovely horse, he had a bad fracture of his fetlock joint this time last year and I thought we were going to loose him. We brought him to Troytown Hospital and they did a fantastic job putting 3 screws into the leg. He's a light framed horse so claiming the 7 pounds off him made a huge difference. Keith [Clarke] gave him a fantastic ride. We've just found the key to him now and we'll stick to hurdles for the present.

Niche Market wins Irish Grand National

He's a lovely horse, an absolute star. He was cast in his box and pulled off a shoe yesterday afternoon in the stable yard, so that was a minor panic to put it mildy. He was 4th in the 4 miler last year and he was bumped and never got into the race this year but he's a brilliant jumper when he gets daylight. We'll look at Aintree next year for him.

Walsh seen to good effect

I fancied him today as he has been working really well at home and we might go for a winners bumper with him next.

Taipan's show the way to opposition

he jumped super and is improving. I bought him as a National horse for Mr. Hemmings and hopefully one day he will achieve that dream.

Walsh records another treble

He's a proper old fashioned chaser. That was a great pick me up after losing Drumconvis earlier in the afternoon. It's been terrible to lose such two good horses in such a short space of time Drumconvis and Clarified. I'm delighted that Lochan Lacha won for Michael Bailey at his local track as he has been a very good supporter of mine since I started training.
