Clarke seen to good effect The Ladbroke.com Hurdle Grade 3 provided a shock result when the outsider of the field Coolcashin at odds of 25/1 came home in front under conditional jockey Keith Clarke. Twenty seven year old Clarke a native of Drumree Co Meath is a cousin of Barry and Ross Geraghty's and recorded his 13th career win today. He rides out for Tom Foley and David Broad mainly. Winning trainer Michael Bowe said afterwards, "He's a lovely horse, he had a bad fracture of his fetlock joint this time last year and I thought we were going to loose him. We brought him to Troytown Hospital and they did a fantastic job putting 3 screws into the leg. He's a light framed horse so claiming the 7 pounds off him made a huge difference. Keith [Clarke] gave him a fantastic ride. We've just found the key to him now and we'll stick to hurdles for the present."
