Queen impresses in Killarney opener
I'm delighted with that performance, I thought she was impressive there., . I was bit worried we were running her too quick after her Kilbeggan run but she ran even better today I thought. She's a much stronger filly this year and she's done nothing wrong. We'll try pick up a winner's of one now.
Kiely Takes Stock at Killarney
He's a real chaser in the making. He deserved that as he has been unlucky in the past. He settled much better today too as that has been a problem in some of his races. The better ground and the fact they went a good gallop helped.
Accident prone Bruach Na Mara scores at Killarney
This fellow has been very unlucky in the past, he broke his pelvis and he was also involved in an motorway accident in which he was flung out of the horse box. So thankfully everything went right for him today and he needs good ground which he got today. The syndicate are very patient people and it's great he won for them.
Alpine scores for McCreery
There was nothing much for her really, she went up eight pounds after the last day. I thought if she ran a good race behind Sweeps Hill she might go up again and get into some of those good handicaps during the Summer. The ground is the key to her, she loves the quick ground and she jumps really well. Her target will be one of the big handicaps now, maybe something like the Galway Hurdle.
McNiff at his best aboard Dooney Rock
Powerstation justifies favouritism
He got bumped at the first fence and he was shuffled back a bit but Davy [Russell] was always happy and knew he'd loads of horse underneath him. He'll have a little break now and come back for the Galway Plate.
Close Review scores for Rath
He'll go down the handicap chasing route now. He's a three mile handicapper chaser and that's all he is. He loves the fast ground, the faster the better for him really.
Swan and Carberry win last
Nina was brilliant there. It was worth the €200 fine I got for not nominating a rider in time. He's a lovely horse who is improving all of the time. He will probably go to Doncaster Sales now as his owners always like to sell their horses.
