I thought he wouldn't be beaten but I couldn't say it to anyone as he has let us down so often before. He has been dropping in the handicap and that helped. He'll come back here now next Friday night.

I'm delighted. He ran green but when the gap appeared Shane produced him and he went forward. It was a rough race but that (the win) takes a bit of the sting out of the cold up here!

'Slippers' was very good on her. He did exactly what we asked him to. In fairness she should have won on her last two or three runs . she's been very unlucky.

He's improving and we know how to ride him now. We were making the running and he wasn't getting home. We'll come back here on the eighth of January for another one of these.

Secretary shows his liking for Dundalk again
He seems to like this place. He had his wind done earlier in the season and it took him a while to get over it. He had a few hold-ups but the handicapper gave him a bit of a chance. Seamie gave him a great ride as he is not straight-forward. He has to be produced late.
Egan gets Salam home
He battled well and staying won the day. He is making steady progress and we'll see what the handicapper does. He ran to his mark with Aragorn Rouge and he'll probably come back here for a handicap before the year is out.
