Lightning Bear strikes for Davison & Joyce
I thought he was overpriced and I was sure he would come forward significantly from his first run - more so than most of ours usually would. . Wesley gave him a super ride and it just keeps everything going really well. I can't believe how it has all come together so nicely. . He's a homebred as well - I actually bought him directly from my father at Goffs Book 2 for five grand, minimum bid,and here we are. He has won a 50 grand bonus and a bit of prize money. . Now I've to bring all the lads to Vegas as a little treat! . It is the inception of the (Jack Davison) racing club and we have got the dream result. A couple of the lads are here today and we'll have a party in the near future I'm sure. . He'll go for the half million (Goffs Million), he's a nice type of horse and whatever he does from here onwards, will be a bonus. . I just want to compliment the lads on doing such a good job because as a youngster he was tricky to break and get going. You need a couple of experts around you with the tricky ones. . I'm lucky I am able to stand here and get interviewed or receive the trophy, but there is a lot of work behind the scenes and I'm really lucky with the team I have.
Betsen touches down to give Davison a double
He's such a strong-travelling horse -he's sort of my version of Harchibald I suppose! . He has a lot of ability and I'd say he would be seen to best effect six furlongs, little bit kinder ground. . I'm glad I have him in the Renaissance (Group 3 at the Curragh) at the end of September. I think that is going to be his optimum and that is one of the first things Billy said. . That (runner-up run in Navan) says it all- I mean Givemethebeatboys is a proper high-class horse. I thought we were going to win that day. Actually just hit the front and Givemethebeatboys battled back and nailed us. . That's the sort of horse I think I am dealing with and the future is bright. . I have learned that sort of less is more sometimes (headgear). The horse is genuine and we kept it simple. When you put the top guys up, you can put a lot of trust in them.
Lee notches a brace on Saint Brandon
This horse ran well in Galway and he also put up a nice performance in Naas the last time over six furlongs. Billy was just saying the run sharpened him up a bit. . He jumped smart and got into the race nicely. He quickened well and he stayed on, and he put up a good battle to win. . I think our next option would be the final of the series in Naas over seven furlongs. He wouldn't mind a cut in the ground, so we are hoping he would be a good candidate to run in that race. With a bit of luck he will pick up a bit of prize money. . He's a very nice, honest horse and always a happy horse. He's a pleasure to train.
No party like The Marty Party
Dylan planned to be a lot handier but, just as the gates opened, he said he just kind of reared and he ended up missing the kick.
Sir Jeremy regal on handicap debut
Happy Jacky the Ulster Cesarewitch hero
He has proven stamina and Ronnie gave him a brilliant ride. He doesn't help himself because he doesn't travel great, he needs a strong gallop. I haven't come across a horse as tough as him. He is running over all these marathon trips the whole time and you can't believe how well he bounces out of it. He has done us proud this summer and hopefully he is not finished yet. We thought we would go down to a ladies' maiden down in Tramore and you come up against Familiar Dreams. He is a right horse owned by magnificent people. We were thinking of travelling him, over hurdles as well too, but then this race showed its face and we said we have to come here. He suffers a little bit from heat stress. As soon as he finishes, we get water onto him straight away and he bounces out in 15 minutes. He's grand.

Joyce lands thrilling finale to notch a double
It is a poignant winner as the owner's (Miss Maura McGuinness) mother died.
