An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference jumping the final hurdle involving Taragrace (IRE), placed second, ridden by Charlie Maggs and Sinndarella (IRE), placed third, ridden by Chris Ward.
After hearing evidence from both riders and viewing recordings of the incident, it was established that Taragrace (IRE) had lugged quickly right-handed on the approach to the final hurdle and impeded Sinndarella (IRE).
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Taragrace (IRE) as the effect on Sinndarella (IRE) had only been minimal and that mare always appeared held on the run in, to be beaten by a neck margin.
The interference was found to be accidental as Maggs had taken timely and reasonable steps to correct his mount.
Being a 8lb claiming conditional, Maggs was accompanied in the enquiry by his jockey coach.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend after jumping the seventh hurdle involving Taragrace (IRE), placed second, ridden by Charlie Maggs, Sinndarella (IRE), placed third, ridden by Chris Ward and the winner, Dakota Beat (IRE), ridden by Joe Williamson.
The interference was found to be accidental as after jumping the hurdle Taragrace (IRE) and Sinndarella (IRE) brushed resulting in Sinndarella (IRE) shifting left-handed moving Dakota Beat (IRE) off its intended line, which left Dakota Beat (IRE) inside the racing line of the course configuration.
In Williamson attempting to negotiate the bend and maintain his position to the inside of Sinndarella (IRE), his mount had made contact with that mare's hindquarters which caused Sinndarella (IRE) to move left-handed to the rail and resulted in Dakota Beat (IRE) having to be checked after running out of racing room.
Following the race, Cillin Leonard reported that Journey West (IRE), which was pulled up, never travelled.
