Halford & Foley double up with Kernoff
He's just learning to sprint now. Before he was jumping out and they were gone and he was flying home in his races. It's a specialised trip. He's only learning now how to jump, travel, hold his place and quicken whereas he was falling out of the stalls and taking forever to warm up. Shane said he travelled comfortably today. He's getting better and learning his job. We'll see what the handicapper does. I said to the owner earlier in the year we might consider Dubai and if he hits 100 we might bring him.
Glassatura makes it a treble for Halford/Foley
She was a good two-year-old but just lost her way a bit. She was always likely to do something like that coming down the ratings. It's great to win a race with her and I have to thank Michael Enright (owner) who has been very patient. She'll be kept in training next season and I think she could come back to herself and hopefully find her old form.
Pelerin wins the Cooley for Botti & Harley
Lord follows up last week's win
I had to come back as I had him entered in this 0-65 and he might never get into one again! It paid off,. He might get a bit of a break now. He was a cheap horse and was bought out of a claimer in England. He's won three now and is paying his way.
Nedera gets off the mark on ninth start
Her second last run entitled her to go close as she was only a length off The Dancing Lord. Seven furlongs the last day was a bit sharp and she was drawn wide. She's a nice filly but was a bit backward and has taken a bit of time.
Sharjah makes all under McDonogh
Venezia makes it four for Halford & Foley
It's been a wonderful night . terrific. We have plenty of nice horses and they are finishing off the season well. They are in good form and Shane is riding great. He's a lovely horse. He came to us from England and had some very good form. We were just finding our way along with him and we'll leave it at that for the year. He was beaten a few times so we wanted to get a win, get him some confidence and find out a bit about him. He stays well and I'd say he'll improve plenty. I think he could be a very nice horse next year.
