Elliott shining bright with Star Maker
O'Callaghan Authorative in booting home his first winner
Shane has just turned 19 and he is with me just over a year. That's his first winner and only his second ride over hurdles - he rode this horse in Bellewstown and things didn't work out. I'm very glad for Shane as he works hard. He is from 20 minutes away from the yard in Keady, County Armagh.
Elliott/Russell double a special one for owner/breeders
Blackmore happy to ride a winner for local owner

Hallinan off the mark on the racecourse proper
We rode him for luck. I had him entered for Sligo and we were a day late so I said we would come here. . I was afraid the ground might be a bit too fast for him but he handled it very well. . He's a good staying horse. Hopefully he'll be out soon, we'll see how he is after the race. I don't see any cuts or scrapes on him and he seems fresh enough. We had plenty of work put into him.
No bother to Happy Lad on 3rd racecourse start
He was unlucky in his point-to-points. He was third to Global Citizen first-time out, a real good horse. Then he fell and unseated and made a mistake and sort of lost his confidence a bit,. He's not scopey enough for jumping fences but he'll make a little hurdle horse. He has come on enough from last year, he was weak enough last year. I left it to Derek (O'Connor) and he said he's a nice horse and will win plenty. Hopefully he will do well over hurdles. He likes the good ground.
