TV team in high Spirits with Dandy win
he’d been showing us a lot of speed and he worked well during the week so we fancied him in this grade. That’s his first run for us and just his fifth run in total. He looked a bit green in front but it was probably his first time to be in front. Hopefully he’ll improve a bit and pick up another one or two. We have plenty of speedy horses at home and he was travelling with them all, so we weren’t afraid to run him here over five. He could come back up here next Friday for an 80 handicap also over five. We’ve had a great year and that was a landmark as it was win number 18 and we have 18 stables.
Riders sent for x-rays following dramatic Dundalk race
she ran ok in Leopardstown but was always ridden dropped in. Shane Foley said she just gallops and to send her forward and that’s what we did. She’s tough and genuine and will probably stay further. She had always shown a little bit and loves this surface. The change in tactics made the difference.

Slow-starting Chevillon gains first win
she had been very disappointing. She was slowly away a number of times and half did it again today. We always thought she had some ability and didn’t think she was as bad as she was running. Thankfully she has gone and won today so she’s a two-year-old winner. She’s out of a good mare (New Magic) that was Stakes placed here for Dermot McLoughlin.

Master Matt registers fifth win
he ran a cracker here last week and I thought Sam was brilliant on him. He gets on well with him. He takes his racing very well and is as hardy as they come. He can go five, six or seven and is very versatile ground wise. Since I put the tongue tie on him he’s turned inside out winning three times and been placed. He used to act up in the stalls but the hood seems to have sorted that out.
McConnell completes Dundalk double in finale
he deserved that and the trainer has eventually got the trip right. It’s great to get that and it’s a nice pot. He’s a good horse over hurdles as well and I think he wants good ground. He’s probably a three-mile hurdler looking at the way he stayed there. I wouldn’t rule out something like an English Cesarewitch next year off a low weight. He’s a massive big horse and is still developing. We bought him as a three-year-old and he’s only filling into his frame now. He’s a very consistent, genuine horse.
