Everyhouronthehour continues to serve Ross so well
It was a bit of an experiment running him over a mile-and-a-half. We were just hoping for the best but he stays really well,. That's five 45-65s he's won now, he's a legend. Anything from a mile to a mile-and-a-half seems to suit him. He'll be up out of the 65s now and we'll see how he gets on. We'll see how he comes out of that and look for something inside a month for him. He's a cracking horse.
Tartlette and Heffernan a brilliant combination
I'm delighted. Seamie gets on brilliant with her. He was a bit worried with the horse going off in front but luckily we caught him,. She's in a good place at the minute. You'd like to think there is a nice pot in her during the summer but she'd need very good ground for that. She got 9lb the last day and they say the handicapper is never wrong!. She's in a good place at the minute and we'd have been mad not to run her tonight. We'll see how she comes out of it and see if there is another race suitable here but if not she might get a little break.
Tyrconnell loving the job at seven
That was brilliant. He loves it up here and Shane gets a great tune out of him,. I think the last day things just didn't pan out for him. He's a very deserving winner. It was quite cosy, I was surprised at that, and I think he's just a little bit clever. He enjoyed that little bit of trouble up the straight, it keeps him sweet. I thought the handicapper had been a bit mean but I can't really complain now. Hopefully he goes easy on him after that.
Swiss Swoo puts himself nicely in shop window
He's improved a lot. The form of his first run was pretty good and I thought he should improve,. He's just coming to himself now and I think there is more improvement in him. He's a little bit childish sometimes, in his head, but out there he was professional and Billy said he would come on again. He's for sale and that'll do no harm. The plan before tonight was to go for a mile maiden in two weeks time, as he really wants a mile. Billy agreed with that tonight, that he wants a mile. We'll have to wait now and see if the phone rings.
Ewing's claim down to five after Dundalk brace
It's another winner for Dr Tan and Jim Ryan so we're delighted for them,. We didn't think he'd be up to winning first time out. He's a nice horse at home but we thought this was the bottom end of his trip. It's always nice when a horse is able to win below his distance. He was in a little bit of trouble for pace early on but galloped home well to the line. He'll definitely go further and he'll progress as the season goes on. He's one to look forward to, he's a smart horse. He was still green and running about. Sam switched inside and at least he had the rail to take him up to the post. He hit the line well. It wasn't the strongest maiden but you can only win it and he'll progress from here.
It's February it's Dundalk and it's got to be San Andreas
Sister Lola makes a good day better for the Lynams
It was a bit disappointing last week. As you can see with the sweat of her there she can be very hard on herself,. We got a call that we were getting in today, I didn't think we would. I rolled the dice and got lucky. I took the 5lb off her to give her every chance and it worked out. It's been a nice day for us, two winners, one for Sarah and one for me. We always thought she wanted a mile but I think we've been wrong as her two seconds and her win have been over seven. I was worried when I saw the sweat of her down behind the stalls but it worked out. We bred her as well and the sire has been good to me.
"Spa at home every day" has Togoville humming on to 14th Dundalk win
I don't know what to say about him after that. Conor gets on very well with him,. I couldn't believe how well he was on the gallops yesterday. Four weeks ago we nearly lost him here as he colicked in the yard and we had to lunge him between races. I don't know what the key is with him but I'd love to find out as I'd get it for the rest of them!. I'm very happy for Patrick McCann (owner) and I have to thank all the support I have in the yard. I didn't plan to run, because it was six furlongs and he was carrying that extra weight today, but there wasn't another race until the 'awards day' on April 18th for him. He was in too good form to leave standing in his box. It's credit to the team at home. He's in the spa at home every day and all the little things are working very well for him. The target is here on April 18th. If a race pops up before and he's in good form he'll go for it.
