Wade makes winning start at Curragh
It takes a good horse to win here,. He's a lovely horse and I pulled him out here last time because of the fast ground. Not to say he wouldn't have handled it but I wanted to give him a nice introduction. To win is a bonus as you never know what you could bump into here. Eugene (McDermott) is a wonderful client and I think I've won with everything he's sent me. This lad has a big future hopefully.
Beau grabs victory in three-way thriller
I think we need to go further. He was flying at the end and I didn't think he'd get out,. He's tough. He'll stay a mile-and-a-half but there were no races for him this weekend. There has been nothing for him since he won. He really needs a mile-and-a-half. I suppose we might go to Galway with him now.
Harley shines on Spelterini
He's going to the July Sales and will make a nice jumper. He's a very good looking horse,.
Prendergast has high hopes for Seeharn
She's a nice filly. She won't run again until the Moyglare. We'll give her a little break and I think she'll be a good contender,. She hates the ground, being by Pivotal. That's why she didn't win by four lengths. Hopefully it gets soft (for the Moyglare). If it does there'll be no danger!
Airspace blazes trail for Murtagh
The draw was a big help and he's getting the hang of sprinting now,. I thought (handicapper) Gary O'Gorman was wrong to give him a hike after Navan but I have to admit he was right. He's in good form and done it well. I'll probably see what he does now (O'Gorman) and could come back here for the Rockingham. He handles the ground well.
Luttrell scores in headgear
I have to put this win down to two people,. Fran Berry suggested putting blinkers on at Down Royal last Saturday and I also have to thank Eamon Behan the farrier here. She had pulled a shoe when we arrived and I thought we were in trouble. He was on the ball and got the shoe on and told us a few things to do. We walked her continually and got the blood up and it all came good. I like to keep the aids off as long as I can to give you a little bit in hand. It's nice to come here to the Curragh with a little bit in hand. She's owned by my sister and sister-in-law and a few friends. I also have a third share of her due to the Celtic Tiger fall out!
Wait worth while for Akzar
It was a goodish maiden. He's a nice horse and well-bred. It's nice to get him on the track - it took a long time,. We'll step him up to a mile-and-a-half. Winning first time might be a bit of a disadvantage as we'll have to run him in something good. We'll see how he goes. He'll have to keep improving but he's a nice attractive horse and goes well on the ground.
