Apache could be on Ado's UK raiding party next week

It is not easy to win these sprints off that weight. We gave him a break after he won here the last day, and we knew he had improved a good bit through the winter for a little bit of a break. We are thinking we might make an entry for him in Lingfield next week, we are sending a few down there next week. He could be on the way and that track could suit him. We have horses going to Newcastle next week as well.

He just likes his own space, I loved seeing him drawn 15. I didn't realise last week, when he was drawn 15, that there was one drawn outside him. The horse on the outside of him went and then he locked on. He doesn't pick up when he locks on. He's a good old fun horse. He'll be kept going, he wants quick ground. Billy is a great fella to have on your side every day of the week.

Sakti lands odds of 1/4 in the maiden

She's a gorgeous filly. Without sounding cocky or anything, we were using it as a piece of work. Ger was adamant that we get the maiden out of the way before we go for trials. This race presented itself because she qualifies and it was ideal. When it presented itself, she was ready for it. She was nice and fresh today, so it is great to get her away. It was just another stepping stone. There will be nothing done now for another month until the trials come up, and we'll start training her. As Colin said, a better race will bring her into the race easier. She wouldn't have to be in front two (furlongs) out with her ears pricked all the way. Everything going forward is a bonus - she has already got her black-type and her maiden win. She has (really thrived over the winter) - she is a big, imposing filly.

She's a good filly, look at the size of her - She's about 16.2/16.3hh. I think she is going to make into a very good hurdler. A bunch of Irish guys in America own her, they are builders. They are great fun and they were over for Cheltenham last week. I was chatting to them and I told them I thought she would run a massive big race. She ran very well here in her first handicap and I do think she will improve again. I'm looking forward to her for the summer when I get her out on grass and then she will definitely go hurdling. I still have the trainer's licence over jumps, so I'll see if she goes hurdling for me. The boys have horses with Gordon (Elliott) as well, so she could end up in Gordon's.

In fairness to the horse he’s put his head down and hit the line really hard. We gave a lot of money for him and he was a bit of a disaster when he started first. He was with Jessie and he ran in an Italian Guineas and in good races. Maybe he had an overly inflated rating at one stage and that can happen sometimes when you run these horses in Group races. He has come back down now and he has got confidence. He's tough and he's hardy, and he's really putting his head down. He has a bit of class to him. If he keeps improving, God only knows what will happen. I don't think the other horse (Shoot To Kill) got home, we'll drop him back in trip and hold him up.

After the last race, we took the opportunity to geld him. He actually took it quite well, so he didn't miss much. We came here with an idea of a campaign on grass. Nice to get it done and we will look forward to the main campaign now. He's a very relaxed horse, but then sometimes we wonder would he be too relaxed. Around the back there was no distress signals and then, when it opened up, he just came and picked up. It was very simply done, and Billy knows the horse. Lovely ride and just produced him well. He got there early enough and was just doing enough. That's not a bad attribute in a racehorse, as long as when they do get to the front they still stay there!
