Lyons filly puts on a good Show
She was very professional. The first day she was very green and lacklustre, she's allowed that first time and our horses come on an awful lot for the first run. She was very smart today, smart out and got a lovely lead off Wayne's horse. As soon as he (Keane) asked her to go on, she looked at the big screen and looked at the crowds so there is still a lot of improvement to come. All our fillies are all about black type. She is one of a couple of horses we still have in the Goffs Million. I presume that is where she might go. I know the second horse was catching her, but she was pulling up and the handbrake came on.
Keane doubles up on Distraction
Great to get him off the mark. I bought him last October and let him out in the paddock for six months and brought him back a few months ago,. I was trying to get him to stay a wee bit, try him over seven furlongs. Colin rode him in Bellewstown and he said if I was you, in my opinion, drop that horse back to six or even five because he has enough pace for that. He said to keep him fresh and I'll ride him for you in Down Royal and hopefully he will win, and he did. One thing for sure, he won't be going to Galway.
Keane at treble on Hazy Mehmory
She'll get further, she is crying out for that trip. She'll get a mile and four whether it is this year or next year but she will definitely stay on the team next year for the Kalmansons (owners) - they are South African based brother and sister and they joined us in the last few years and are lovely, lovely people. They leave it to us. That is as quick a ground as she wants. Colin gave her a lovely confident ride. He is top class and the confidence goes through to fillies like that. She actually thought she was going better than she was. The further she was going, she came into it. Colin mentioned there is a chance she will get black-type whether it is the end of the year or next year. Ultimately, that's the main aim.
Fabulous four-timer for Keane
That was some ride but he had a willing accomplice. This horse has been very busy. I would say that is probably his best trip,. For a big horse, he is not by any means slow. He has won over seven and over a mile, a mile-two, a mile-three and he has been placed in a Cork Derby. He's very versatile and that is his ground. He's actually in the Newmarket August Sale but we'll just see, I'd love to keep him in the yard. He's a very genuine, honest horse and there's a big pot in him. I actually ran him in a couple since Colin last won on him and the ground went against him. He wants really nice ground. I have one eye on the Red God at Dundalk, that's certainly an option. He should get in there off a reasonable weight. We'll target those better pots now. We wanted to pitch him back into calmer waters and get his confidence back and get him to win. He ran in the Ladies Derby and it is a six-day turnaround so credit to the horse - very good constitution and a very good homebred. It is hard to get horses that have that and can back up.

Starlight shines on first run for Dowling
It was super, in fairness she stays well. We've only had her a couple of weeks. We worked her a couple of times and she showed us that she gallops all the way to the line. I just wanted her to have a good experience and wanted her finishing, going forward. If she won, it was a bonus. She's done it now and she will get a great deal of confidence. Whatever she does on the Flat will only be a bonus to what she will do over a hurdle. She is very, very good at jumping. We might throw an entry into the mile and six (at Galway) on Sunday but I doubt she will get in. It is unlikely. We'll pick and choose her races now.
