'Smart' 50/1 shot wins Down Royal's opener
she’s a smart filly. We bought her off Colin and Jessica Magnier in the Breeders Sales and we’ve always thought a bit of her. We had her entered up in a Listed race at Tipperary but decided to sit and come here and give her a good education. The job was done tonight so we'll take that and we are now open to offers and we'll see what happens - Robbie (Downey) reckons she is the real deal. The pressure is off - I thought we would just get placed and go for a maiden but she might be somebody else’s problem the next day she goes racing hopefully!
Speedster Catwilldo wins her fifth race
she has been knocking on the door all year but hasn't had luck. We've been hitting the crossbar with the horses so it is good to get a winner - they’ve all been in good form and I'm glad she got the job done today. There's not really that many races for her; she has only three or four races every year but she runs well in them. We bred her and she has been with us all the years and has a mind of her own.
Irish Derby third wins Her Majesty's Plate
Kevin (Manning) said he was just idling all the way up the straight so he was delighted with him. He saw it out well and he's happy with him.

Lyons' 'Stakes filly' wins Down Royal maiden
we always liked her, she's smart but is just coming to herself now. We have her in all the big races and we like to think she's a stakes horse. We liked her in the spring and she went through a little growing spurt and was very green (on debut at Roscommon). We always knew she would improve for her first run and she put that to bed at the furlong pole very quickly. She's in the big races for a reason and has the attributes of a good one.
The Yellow Bus well on time in Down Royal
Downey delight as Three Bells wins again
that’s job done! He's as tough as boots and that's seven wins in different tracks and eight in total. He's not a nice horse to train but he's a lovely horse to race and we’re delighted! . The plan was Wednesday (in Naas) and today was just a bonus. I couldn't leave it (the race) even though he was 1lb wrong (at the weights).
