Deepone makes impressive winning debut for Twomey
He's a nice colt and he was ready to start today. Being drawn 17 I thought that he'd have to be good to win from out there and it was great that he did,. He's a nicely bred horse, he's a Study Of Man who was a very good racehorse and a very well-bred horse, out of a Galileo mare whose dam won the Yorkshire Oaks. It's great to have Vimal as an owner, it's my first runner for him. We bought the horse at the sales.
Winston Spencer wins for Meade and Roche
His full-brother ran in the first, he's a totally different horse, smaller and sharper, and Leigh came in and said he didn't like that ground, he said he couldn't let himself down on it. I said hopefully with this fella, after waiting for the ground, it wasn't going to be the same,. I like him a lot. He ran well the first day, he just got tired. I thought he had come on a good bit and I think he'll come on a good bit again. I think he's a decent horse. Leigh said he ran home very well at the end and he took plenty of pulling up. He's a very well-bred horse, Coolmore bred him. His dam is a full-sister to Danehill Dancer. I've sort of put my life on Churchill as I bought five two-year-olds by him and I've got four three-year-olds by him. Hopefully he comes right for me. I thought Winston Spencer was a good name for this horse. I hadn't thought any further than today with him, we'll see what happens.
Chavajod strikes on first start for Coakley
That's brilliant, we only have him about six or seven weeks. Johnny Murtagh did all the work and I only had to freshen him up and sweeten him up,. Riding out on his own every day seems to have done the trick. He was going well at home and I was fairly confident. We backed him at 50/1 and I was saying to the lads that you just have to have a small each-way bet and it will pay well. It's brilliant.

Yashin pips Point as Emily disappoints
The autumn plan would be the Melbourne Cup but he'd have to get up a good bit to get to there,. He stays well and he has to have good ground. We think he likes going left handed. He was stuck wide there and keen all the way. Shane said he had no right to pick up and win like he did. I know it was only a short head but he was always getting there. I genuinely thought he would run very well. He didn't run in the Vintage Crop because of the soft ground. He should probably have been going for the Ladies handicap tonight!
Magnetic North returns to winning ways under Adam Caffrey
I think the ground is the key factor. When he was a younger horse you would have said he wanted a bit of cut but he didn't want it today,. We weren't going to run him but I just felt that this track would suit and the trip as well. He's in again at Roscommon on Monday and he might be declared. The last time he won Adam rode his first winner on him, last year in Navan. He's a great fun horse. I'd say the boys will sell him now at some stage as they have a lot of horses and he's not going to be a premier handicap horse. Adam did a great job on him there. He's the type of horse that will come out some days and run a really good race and other days he'll let you down. He definitely wants nice ground.
Burren on Song in Ladies Race
He likes to be let stride along like that, we were probably riding him wrong by holding him up,. Since we've let him use his stride he seems to be a bit better. I'd like to put him over two miles, I think he'll be better at two miles, and he might go to the big amateur handicap in Galway. Whether the handicapper will have him caught now, I don't know. The good thing is that he doesn't win by too far. He's progressing all the time and I might give him a run in a maiden hurdle between now and Galway. I'll talk to the owner, we might go for a two-mile handicap on Guineas weekend, and we'll see what he says. We have plenty of options, he's loving his racing and he's in a good place. It was actually Amy Jo that told me about this race last Saturday morning. She works hard so she deserves every ride she gets.
Shamida makes it third time lucky at Leopardstown
I think it was a very good maiden, they ran it from pillar to post. Ryan brought them some gallop and I think you'll see a lot of winners coming out of that race,. I was very pleased with our filly, she's progressive and hopefully we can go on and get some black-type with her next time. She's a filly that's coming forward, every time she's run she's run better. I think she'll continue to progress. It was a good ride from Chris. All ours are just coming nicely now. I said a couple of weeks before the English Guineas that I really needed two more weeks. They are doing what I thought they would do. We've a smaller team of horses this year and I've got to be selective where I run them. The competition is tougher than ever and I'm very pleased with the way they have been performing. I'm very pleased the way my two jockeys, Chris Hayes and Leigh Roche, are riding.
