Fox impresses under Lynch
Station Closed gives Elliott two in North
It's grand. It is good for the racing club (Gordon Elliott Racing Club). They are getting a bit of enjoyment out of the few horses they have. They are lucky, they have had a few winners so its good for them. We'll keep her going now for the summer, obviously she has turned the corner. She stayed going well, the step up in trip and better ground helped. I suppose this time of year they can change when they get a bit of sun. She has always worked alright. Her runs haven't been great so far but hopefully she is going the right way now. She might pick up another one like that, she won well at the end.
Lynch doubles up on Theturnofthesun
He was in his own class. We saw this race a few weeks ago and it was the plan. He jumped well and Andrew (Lynch) gave him a good ride. We'll see what mark he gets. He's still a maiden over hurdles.
Kilclispeen wins a 2nd at Downpatrick
A Very Special Hunter Chase indeed
I thought the horse in the third (Ashjan - second) would win, and was hoping the lad in the first (Atlantic Breaker - third) would win. You can't beat luck though!. I was afraid of nothing but the horse that fell at the second last (Eddies Miracle). I thought we could beat everything bar David Christie's horse realistically now. She's a 95,000 pound three-year-old who has won a point-to-point and a chase on the track. She's a valuable commodity now. She was bought as a broodmare, that was the original plan to see if we could do something on the track to enhance her value.
