Leaving the stalls, the winner, Vantheman (IRE), jumped sharply right-handed, bumping Makanah (GB), placed fifth, which in turn caused Wen Moon (IRE), placed third, to become short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Vantheman (IRE).
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Wen Moon (IRE), placed third, was briefly denied a clear run approximately 1½ furlongs from the line.
