I thought we would have plenty of horses for the all-weather this year but it didn't work out like that,. That's my first winner from our new yard. We moved a few weeks ago to Oliver Finnegan's yard in Dean Hill and the horses have done really well since the move. He's the biggest example of how they have thrived. There is a swimming pool there which is a big help. It's lovely set-up and I'm delighted where we are. The owner is a long standing patron of mine. He had a big day at the dentist yesterday so is a bit under the weather. This horse ran well on soft ground last week so I don't think ground is an issue. We'll look for six and seven furlong races. A mile might stretch him.

Step up in trip suits War Room nicely

He was very unlucky the last day when he got a run on Conor down the back. We always knew he'd get a trip but he needed to settle. I have to thank Conor Hoban for telling us to step up in trip. He probably doesn't quicken but he lengthens and he needs a clear run. He gets there well in the end but if you break his stride it's hard to get him started again.
