Johann gets it right in first time hood
It's about time I got it right on him! . He has always worked very well but he has disappointed a few times. To be fair to him maybe he doesn't stay very far. He shows plenty of pace and he can be keen. We might have been running him over the wrong trip, he was entitled to win today and hopefully he will progress. He seemed to relax well today and the hood might have helped him. All the time I've been riding him I've been missing the kick on him and have been trying to get him to relax, but today I through the reins at him and let him race up there. It might have been a combination of the hood and the trip that made him relax better. Seven furlongs or a mile might be his trip. He has plenty of ability and hopefully we will get a bit more out of him.
Gamble landed as Pursuit makes all
Colin gave him a super ride, he rode to the plan. He was drawn in one and we didn't want to give away the advantage. He has plenty of speed for seven furlongs but he will improve for a bit further as well. Colin was able to give him a nice breather around the bend, it gave him confidence and he kicked two furlongs out. He rode a similar race on him around here as a two-year-old and he had them all in trouble that day so that was plan. Colin is riding with plenty of confidence and he is making no mistakes. I'm delighted for Vincent (winning owner Vincent Gaul) he has been a great supporter.
King and Kent combine with Caliso
She just needed a bit of confidence and now that she has got that she could go the right way. She comes out of her races well. She needs a bit of daylight to enjoy herself. She is fairly versatile trip wise.
Lane makes it Six winners for Feane
He won well enough. The last night here had a too much daylight on the wide outside. It wasn't the jockeys fault, he was drawn twelve and it's tough around here when you are drawn out wide. I don't know what the handicapper will do now. He will jump a hurdle, he jumps really well and he will go with a little bit of ease in the ground as well.
Westpieser justifies favouritism under Foley
Her form probably entitled her to win it. It wasn't ideal to make the running but we felt she had a good draw and there mightn't be any pace.
He's Our Music on song at Dundalk
Melanippe a very easy winner of the last
Chris said that he maybe had been riding her a bit the wrong way the last couple of times. He just decided to be very aggressive on her and he just nicked it on the bend. She winged around the bend and was gone. I thought she might have one more win in her but I thought it would be around somewhere like Tramore or Wexford.
