He’s Our Music recorded his third career success, all of which have come at Dundalk, as he took the Champions Restaurant Dundalk Rated Race, scoring under Danny Grant for Pat Flynn.
The five-year-old son of Oratorio won a handicap over a mile at the track in November, and he was stepped up to a mile and two this evening on second start of the season.
A 5/1 chance this morning, the bay victor opened on-course at 9/2 before going off at 4/1.
Drawn on the rail in stall one, he made all and still travelled well a furlong and a half from home with his five rivals all off the bridle.
He was ridden along just over a furlong out, and he kept on well for pressure, going on to score by a length and a half. Smoker was best of the rest, as he took second at 4/1 under Declan McDonogh for Patrick Prendergast, while the 5/2 favourite (4/1 this morning) Snow Scene was a further length and a quarter back in third under Colin Keane for Ger Lyons.
Danny Grant said afterwards: "He loves it here and he loves this surface. He is very good on quick ground on the turf as well.
"You can ride him any way you want, he travels everywhere."
