Daisy Bell takes opener for Prendergast/Hayes
The experience helped her and I'd be scared of the second next time. I bought her on the recommendation of Dave Kenna (Hayes' agent) and she arrived in typical of one of (Tracey) Collins', looking a millions dollars. I thought she'd win the last day but she missed the break. She needs another furlong and is crying out for it. It wasn't a bad maiden the last day but she just jumped a bit slow and the plan had been to ride her positively. There isn't much here for her now; there are no stakes races and she'll probably end up too high for a nursery. I think she'll be a nice sprinter next year as she goes on any ground but she's still quite weak. She's a full-sister to Chiclet, who won for Tracey last month.
Hayes doubles up on Anatefka
when she got to the front she half stopped and Chris gave her a great ride. She did it well and is back on form. She's been frustrating and I thought she would have won before now but little things went wrong and she's highly strung and hard to keep quiet. She's down to the right mark now and hopefully might win again.
More success for Halford & Foley
he's a big baby and has been growing in spurts throughout the year but has always shown us ability. He'll be a nice horse going a trip next year and is a big honest horse. He travelled better today as he got a bit lost around here the last day. He was a bit green and rolled around a bit but when Shane really grabbed a hold of him and needed him, he picked up well. He had a lovely attitude and loads of scope. I'm delighted with him.
Almosthaditall gains her maiden win
she did it nicely. She just wasn't focused enough the last day and the headgear helped today and put her mind on the job a bit better.
Fourth course win for Misty Lane
she's a right one . a good tough lady!. we gave her a break and she's after improving after it. The last day over seven she won by three lengths and was staying on great so that's why we decided to go a mile today.
Gritty all the way win from Hardstone
Havelock further advertises Levins' skills
I'm delighted he came out the right side of the photo as Donagh is a worse loser than I am! I'm delighted I put him on as I'd imagine the 10lb was a big help. This horse is an absolute star and doesn't know how to run a bad race. He makes my job easy as he's versatile trip wise and it (stepping up in trip) opens up the options. He's improving and is enjoying life so there's no reason to stop at the moment.
