Lyons doubles up in Dundalk opener

She came out the Navan race with very sore shins and I was gutted with how she ran. I think she's a Listed filly,. I told the owner I would be gutted if she didn't win tonight. She'll get an entry for the (Listed) Marble Hill Stakes (Curragh 21st May). I have a nice bunch of fillies but they haven't been running as expected. My two-year-olds seem to be taking a bit of time to come to hand. I'm really aiming everything towards Royal Ascot as that the type of two-year-old races I want to be winning.

I had her ready to run last year but had no licence for the Flat. She's a filly that should have won more races during her career,. I was expecting a big run from her tonight but it was somebody else who backed her at 25/1 this morning!. She has schooled over hurdles and could have a future there. I'm not going to abuse her this year though after it took her so long to get to the track and the plan is to stay on the Flat for now.
