Devonelli swooped late to land the spoils in the seven-furlong handicap under a strong ride from Conor Hoban.
The gamble of the race Gerladines Lass (12/1 in morning into 4/1f on course) looked set to collect when hitting the front from long-time leader President Lincoln a furlong-and-a-half out.
She couldn't maintain her run, however, giving way inside the final furlong.
President Lincoln's regained lead didn't last long, however, as Hoban conjured a late surge from Devonelli to get up for a half-length success.
Winning trainer Michael Halford was full of praise for the young rider:-
"She's very game. Conor gave her a very cool ride. He kept his head and the gaps came for him.
"She loves that surface and will probably come back here in July."
