Kimbay continues on her winning ways
the owner (William Hynes) was thinking about giving her a break but Rory said no, give her one more run, so all credit to him and it was a great ride by him. He rides her at home and it was his idea to come tonight. We might give her a little break now. She's tough but is only a pony and has the heart of a lion. She was unlucky the last day as in another five yards she would have caught the English horse.
Third time lucky for Sgt Rock
Easy maiden win for odds-on 'Straws
that's well deserved and it's been a long road for the lads (Men Of Straw Syndicate headed by Noel Hayes, Commercial Director of the Tote) since she was second first time out at the Curragh. She's always been capable of winning a race like that and Dundalk is a great asset. There was a little doubt whether she would stay the mile and with the visor on there was a risk of her being keen but she stayed the mile very well. Emmet said he couldn't get a lead for long enough and found himself in front a bit soon. When the others got within half a length of her she picked up again and galloped to the line. Hopefully the handicapper shouldn't put her up for that and she might come back for a handicap in the new year.

Berry doubles up on well backed Emperor
he's a tricky horse. He's a monkey really but when he gets it right, he gets it right. I thought if anybody could give him a ride it was Fran as he needs to be settled and come with a run. No-one could have given him a ride like Fran. Hopefully the handicapper is not too hard on him and he'll come back again. He loves this surface and we give him a break in the summer as he doesn't seem to adapt to grass. The horses are going very well. I have a great team behind me with Rita Shah (winning owner) and the boys in the yard.
Captain Joy gains sixth Dundalk win
he's very good up here, very consistent. He loves the place and never runs a bad race. He won't go to Dubai as he didn't handle it last year but there isn't much here now for him. There are those all-weather championship races in England and we might head in that direction.
Sharjah wins finale for Slattery/McDonogh
in his last seven runs he hasn't been out of the first three and hasn't been out of the first two in his last six. He loves this place and we'll keep him going. He'd probably win on grass but he wants real fast ground and we don't get it (in Ireland). He'll win a hurdle race too . he's won a three-year-old hurdle before.
