FormscanBy Alan Magee - ASTHURIA was unlucky on a few occasions over hurdles last term including when falling at the last upsides Shattered Love in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse. She’s also recorded three hurdle wins notably when successful in Listed company at Killarney and was sent off a short-priced favourite on her chasing debut at Thurles. Willie Mullins’ charge adopted her usual front-running style but was collared on the run-in by Billy’s Hope. She jumped reasonably well on that occasion, and this looks a reasonable opportunity to go one better. Girly Girl, a stable-companion of Billy’s Hope, looks the obvious threat. She won twice over hurdles for Dan Skelton before joining Jessica Harrington last season, and was Grade 3 placed behind Slowmotion at the Fairyhouse Easter meeting. Hopefully an exit on her reappearance at Clonmel will not have dented confidence.
