He jumped brilliant, settled great and his form entitled him to do it like that. I couldn't ride Karamoja for weight reasons and at home she would work as well as the winner, but Karafon has an extra season's training with us under his belt. That is often worth a lot and Karamoja ran keen and will probably improve more from it. We think a lot of both horses and Karafon can step up in grade now.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Uhavemeinstitches, ridden by Miss A.B. O'Connor, and trained by J.Motherway. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Miss A.B. O'Connor, stated that her instructions were to sit in the first six or seven with some daylight. She said she was further back than ideal but had improved her position in the back straight. She said she had got into a good position on the home turn and her mount then ran green after the second last hurdle and lugged left. J.Motherway confirmed the instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride given to a filly having her first run of the season. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Uhavemeinstitches was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Uhavemeinstitches, trained by J.Motherway, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
