FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES (FR) wore earplugs throughout the race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the bend after the last hurdle in the back straight, between Fanfan Du Seuil (FR), placed seventh, ridden by Paddy Brennan, the winner, Pentland Hills (IRE), ridden by Nico de Boinville, Band Of Outlaws (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by J J Slevin and Song For Someone (GER), placed sixth, ridden by Aidan Coleman.
The interference was found to be accidental as Fanfan Du Seuil (FR) had edged marginally left in order to round the bend, before being corrected, tightening the runners on his inside, and leaving Coleman short of room on the rail.
Following the race, Joshua Moore reported that Beat The Judge (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, other than the gelding had lost its left fore shoe.
