Alkhattaaf (GB) had its right fore re-shod in the Parade Ring.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Liam Keniry, the rider of Cloudy Rose (GB), drawn 5, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.
Keniry's explanation that the filly was rearing the stalls and the blind became stuck on his first attempt to remove it was noted.
The Clerk of Scales reported that Sean Kirrane, the rider of the winner, Thibault (GB), had been unable to weigh in owing to requiring medical attention shortly after finishing the race.
The Stewards were satisfied that the correct weight had been carried throughout the race and confirmed the placing of Thibault (GB).
Following the race, George Rooke reported that The Wire Flyer (GB), placed sixth, was slowly away and William Cox reported that Gleneaglet (GB), unplaced, ran too free in the early stages.
